This beer (?)
Which both encapsulates my mental state and what feels like my profession this week.

Fuck.

Emotional and mental state prior to drinking is only enhanced while drinking.

I do hope you started off with a can which said 'Get Bitter' then another that said 'Even Bitter-er' gently taking you towards the final can depicted in the picture.

I had a few Guinness's last night so, cheers.

Mum declining more everyday by her cancer and me being unable to do more to make it easier and more comfortable for her.
Despite all the joking, inappropriate behaviours, bawdiness and crap like that it’s important to remember how delicate life is and how useless we can feel at times.

Prayers for you and your mum… and I’m not even religious. I went through something similar so know how frustrating and hard a time it can be.

keep doing what you’re doing, stay strong and don’t forget to take care of yourself too.

I’m very sorry to hear that mate.
Been through it (dad) and frankly it’s shit.
You may feel you’re not able to do anymore but trust me, you being there for your mum will mean the world to her. Stay strong and as Vic said, take the time to care for yourself.

Remember, you’ve done enough. You are enough.

I'm so proud of you for writing this — for saying it out loud. There are many people here who’ve known you for years and care enough to listen, enough to let you pour it all out. Many will have survived their own version of this.

I can only echo what the boys have already said: know that your love and presence will mean everything.

I’ve cared for a parent in a similar condition, and I know how much you must be carrying right now. Remember — your strength and love are exactly what your mum needs, and that’s more than enough.

You’re doing your best, even when it feels like you’re not enough. Stay strong, and take care of yourself too. You are enough, exactly as you are — tired, broken, grieving — you will always be enough. xxx

Thanks for the kind words Vic, I'm not religious either but holding out hope.

Thank you for the kind words. It's never easy for anyone to go through.

I know its a part of life and an inevitable outcome as time goes on, it's just frustrating that they knew it was there, they could have done something about it, then waited until it was too late.

Even still I appreciate the kind words.
