Been a while since I've had any burning questions...but

@JohnM Would you rather be 5 years older or 15 years younger? Why?
That must depend on your current age? In my case (as old as I am), definitely 15 yrs younger. 5 years older wouldn’t give me any more experiences than I’ve had so far. And bits will start to break after yet another 5 yrs.... But 15 years younger would allow me to learn from all the mistakes I made over that period of time....

@Just-me would you rather wear only neon green or only Shocking Pink for the rest of the year?
Bonus question: if you were a bird, who would you s*** on?

Speak every language ;) Don't remember when I could use ability to play on any instrument but knowing other languages would need many times.
What about you?
On the practical side, speaking every language would be useful. it would certainly open up all sorts of job opportunities and a greater fluidity to go anywhere. And I wouldn't have to spend so much damn time studying.
Being able to play any instrument would mean so much music in my life and the ability to connect deeply with musicians anywhere I go. even if we can't communicate in words we could communicate in Melodies harmonies and Beats, so I think I'd rather be able to play any instrument.

@Stretchit no alcohol or no tea for the rest of the year?
No alcohol. It’s an easy decision but also a hard decision. I think I enjoy tea as much as beer although one takes care of me more than the other (feeling the beers I had after work last night)

Seeing as though you are bringing the community together you kind warm soul, I’ll throw a question back at you.

It is Friday the 1st of September 2023 which is day 244. What is ( If you have one that is) 244 on your bucket list? or things to do before rising into the the universe like a steaming kettle whistling away. If the list isn’t that long number 24 is okay.

@Koala would you rather hug a koala bear or a border collie?
I dream of traveling to Australia, I am so deeply fascinated by that country. There are several animals that I just have to see, and of course the koala is one of them. I would love to hold and hug a koala, although of course I am also a dog lover.

Today is my brother's 44th birthday. In honour of that a bucket list item that includes him: work on a building site, use a nail gun and some sort of table saw.

Happy Birthday to your brother dragonfly, have a great one. Don’t forget your steel toe caps and hard hat.

@Alex231993 would you rather live 100 years in the past or 100 years in the future?
I'd have to go to the future. Don't really fancy fighting in world war 2. But then who knows what the future will bring. I like the thought of not knowing afterall.
How about you?

Born in 1893 you'd have probably been to old for conflict in WWII, probably a nice safe home role well away from danger, presuming you'd survived the bloodbath of WWI, for which you'd have been just the right age — and then the general strike!

Personally I despair of the future unless we get back to reality not the woke prevailing snowflake nonsense that abounds. Probably will not be around to see it anyway.

I tend towards the past for a few reasons. 1. I'd be all futuristic and could probably bring wisdom to set our planet on a different course, maybe even snap up a nobel prize in the process... whereas in the future I would be this out of date oddity from a museum. 2. would love to meet my great grandmum, she graduated university in 1922, so about a hundred years ago she would probably be the apex of cool...although from her journals i gather every minute of her life she was the apex of cool. 3. deep rooted anxiety about the future...i think i would rather not know how things are going in 100 years.

Im going Green! Shit on anyone who abuses others, be they people or animals. Hate racist, sexist, bullies those who pick on other’s disabilities or just pain nasty people. So quite a lot to aim for I reckon!

So this is a different kind of introductions thread. Use this space to ask others in the neighbourhood those burning questions that have been keeping you up at night. Or those silly questions that might get a laugh. Or those weird questions that might make a newbie feel at home.

If there's something you would like to know about someone, simply Tag them (using the @their name) and ask your question. Person responding, please quote the question when you do.

KEEP IT CASUAL. If you get a question you aren't comfortable answering of course you can deflect it.

And hopefully, let's have a little fun.
How many men over 50 are having problems with women of their own age losing their sex drive?
