You are disconnected

An annoying and disconcerting message is flashing up for about 1 second, at the bottom of any chat room screen, stating:
You are disconnected

The message appears every few seconds. Please advise/explain?

The server was updated twice last night so the issue should hopefully be resolved now. If anyone is still getting the red 'disconnected' tab appearing, please put here the code that appears with it. It is a four digit number. Thanks.
