Why start a thread and never return ?

Always seems odd why people start threads saying they want to chat then never answer any of the replies. Even odder are people replying months after the first ( and only ) message when the initiator hasn't logged on since they left the message
Surely they can't all be false or bots ??? Or maybe I'm too trusting and a touch gullable

Don’t think you’re too gullible but some of the folk replying at a later date are. They read neither the thread or the bio of the original poster, and a lot of the time put the same reply to multiple threads

Thanks for replying @bloodhoney @shambles925 and @Adie I just wondered about some people hope the touch of sarcasm didn't go unnoticed in the original post. Oh bugger I've forgotten the golden rule, never reply to your own posts x
