Sun and Dom…is that odd?

Hi,
My wife and I enjoy an active sex life and also take turns to be the dominant one. One night I’ll be having to take her strap on and have a sore ass the following morning, and the following time she’ll be spreadeagled to the bed whilst I make her beg me to bring her to orgasm. We mix it up all the time and really enjoy it. Whenever I share this with other people, I get the ‘you can only be sub or dim…not both’. Are they right and we just haven’t made up our mind yet?
