Having had prostate cancer two years ago and now left totally with ED. My wife has all but given up on any form of sex now. So good luck my friend I feel your pain.

I love being played with and I still ejaculate but I don’t think I could ejaculate without an erection. I was chatting to a guy I know in the pub he gets 2 boxes of viagra every month from the GP. What things Might you have tried...Or wanted to try????

Role play. A lot of massage of different types. Deep tissue massage. Massage with stretching. Accupressure and nerve center stimulation. Tickling and caressing. Using items like silk gloves, feathers, fabrics, different oils. Sometimes "stimulating" snake oils like ginseng or other questionable essential oils. Simulated sex - mounting, rubbing, humping without penetration. Oral sex. Cock rings. Sometimes if I found he had morning wood (which was very very rare) I tried to take advantage of that, but usually it wouldn't last long or he would complain about a full bladder. While I sometimes tried to broach it, he never consented to any anal play, so that was left unexplored.

Of course, medications, but the sum total of those (and I think we tried 4 or 5 different types both generic and name brand) were: no effect, headaches, nausea, back/kidney pain, congestion, erection but without sensation, peripheral neuralgia (numb hands or legs or pins and needles), confusion and brain fog. I recommended trying anti-depressants, as for me in the later years it was clear that he was clinically depressed, but again he was unable to engage that idea.

I think the main reason things went nowhere is that it was largely one-way. He rarely asked for any sort of intimate contact, it was always me asking/prodding/suggesting.

I don't know that he felt my actions were "understanding"...Even I think they were often self-serving. I wanted sex and intimacy, which is why I continued to push him. But he couldn't/didn't know how to/didn't want to (?) provide for that. And in the end, I, much like yourself, accepted that if those are things I want in my life I will never get them from him.

TLDR: Just because you struggle with ED doesn't mean you can't enjoy a healthy sex life. But it takes communication with your partner about how to go about that.
