Perhaps they already have a male in their lives, and are looking for female stimulation here.
Perhaps they are looking for more engaging chat than "suck my cock" "your boobs are..."and they are trying to be polite.
Perhaps they like men...but are particular (only young men, only black men, only widowers etc)
Perhaps they aren't comfortable admitting to themselves that they are lesbian and so they use Bi as a socially acceptable, non-stigmatizing alternative while they explore and come to better understand for themselves what it is they want.
