I once changed some rear wheel bearings on a car, a job I'd done many times before. Stupidly, I did the very non-male thing of RTFM (read the … manual) which said to torque the castellated nut up to 5 ft lb, never torqued a wheel bearing up in my life: finger tight, back it off drop the split pin through, job done. Well if it says so in the manual better do that, so did, thought 'that's a little tight, but they must know something I don't'.
I'd gone 7miles before one of the rear wheel's passed me going into a roundabout, bit disconcerting.
I'd read the manual but not the torque wrench, torqued up to 50ftlb not 5!

I was not mentioning the term unique in terms of the individual respondents. It was a generic statement quantified to an individual reply. Even then it is a generic phrase.
