I always listen to the same kind of music. I’m a 60s/70s and Indie fan but love boybands and the odd blast of dance music so what I’m asking for is your top 10 all time favourite songs! Don’t overthink this though or it’ll take hours! I will then make myself a playlist with your choices so I might actually discover some new artists/albums.

Here’s mine…

Tom Jones - I’ll never fall in love again

Ed Sheeran - Bad habits

Pulp - Common people

Oasis - Cigarettes and alcohol

Robert Miles - Children

Queen - Hammer to fall

Elvis Presley - An American Trilogy

Keith Whitley - Don’t close your eyes

Boyzone - You needed me

Calum Scott - You are the reason

I'm fairly new here, so playing catch up on the various threads .... it really seems a crying shame this thread didn't catch on.

I'm going to start putting together a playlist based on the recommendations that I fancy so far - but it really needs more!

Random suggestions:

James - Laid

Billy Joel - Piano Man

Ultravox - Vienna

Embrace - Fireworks

The Four Seasons - Rag Doll

The Libertines - Time for Heroes

Elvis - In The Ghetto

Dire Straights - Romeo & Juliet

The Bluetones - Bluetonic

Otis Redding - (Sittin' on) The Dock of the Bay

The Clash - (White Man) In Hammersmith Palais

Definitely a shame this hasn’t caught on (loving how many are saying’Laid’ - an amazing song!).

Mine are:

Gene - Let Me Move On
Indigo Girls - Fugitive
Lady A - Need You Now
Elbow/John Grant - Fickle Flame/Kindling
Depeche Mode - Somebody
Aha - Stay on These Roads
Levellers - Liberty Song
Tankus the Henge - Last Night in New Orleans
Lewis Capaldi - Someone You Loved
Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc

And I’ve just realised the most recent is about 10 years old. I’m definitely no longer young and hip :eek:
