Hubby and I are looking at ticking off something from our bucket list and that’s to go to a nudist beach so I’m wondering if the resident naturists can give me some advice

What are the general rules and etiquette? I know that sexual activity is a no-no, taking photos and videos probably isn’t accepted and also staring at others. Hubby’s main concern is if he gets ‘excited’ what would we do about that?

We have a nudist beach about an hour or so from us so if we get some good weather we are going to give it a go

Apply sunscreen liberally. Skin that normally doesn't see sunlight burns easily.
Take a towel. If hubby gets 'excited' he hide his modesty easier.
Don't make comments about other people's bodies. For lots it's not a sexual thing, but a relaxation thing.
Keep your distance from other bathers.
Make sure you have done all 'essentials' before you visit, ammenities can be scarce.

Thought I'd get in first with some sensible advice before you got flooded with dozens of messages about which beach you are going to, let me stare at your tits :P

It's a beach! The same rules go with or without clothes, pretty much. I don't really act any differently when I'm on a nude beach or a normal beach. I think if you do, you'll stand out. Most people are there to do what people do on the beach - chill out and get a tan and maybe a swim to cool off. I'd say nude surfing or wakeboarding is probably not a great idea. And if it's a mixed nude / textiles beach, just be very courteous to the textiles - they have as much right to be there as you but probably don't want an eye full of tackle. That said, there are some beaches near me that nudists use because they are difficult and dangerous to get too, so when textiles risk going there when there are a hundred perfectly good textiles-only beaches with cafes, carparks and lifeguard services all over the county it is, shall we say, inconsiderate of them. But maybe they're just pervs.
As for getting wood. Well, it's kinda natural and you can get away with a semi, but if he's sporting a raging hardon then I'd suggest a refreshing dip, a towel, or just lie face down until it passes.
Do what HardAnal said. And take something to drink. Try not to stare at the hot people. I tend to fail on that one.
And, you know, I talk to strangers on a nude beach just as on a clothed beach. Be normal. Do normal beach stuff.

Think you have it pretty much nailed. Though I have stumbled on a secluded beach only to find it was nude when I got there so I guess textiles can make mistakes. I look at maps for interesting places, should probably then google them to see what the score is before visiting I guess. Nude on the beach is great.
