Kik hookup feels off

Looking for some advice, had some one contact me through a hookup site, and moved the conversation to Kik. Feels weird though, maybe 10 messages in they’ve given me an address to meet, they sent me a camera picture on Kik so look like the profile, but I don’t know I have a tingle and not in the good way, could be great, I could get murdered. Anyone had any random hookups through Kik? Wondering if I’m being too cautious or if this is odd

They can also send pictures through a 3rd party app which looks like it's legit.

It is probably too soon for the meet.
Any first meet should always be in a public and safe environment anyway!

Always tell a friend where you are going and ask them to call you at a pre arranged time to check you are safe or provide you with an excuse to leave.

*Personally prior to any meet get verification the person is who they say they are!

Ask for a random picture.
If they are at home say with a tin of beens on there head as an example.

If they are working and it's a desk job then for example with a stapler.

A Genuine person should be able to respond almost instantly with your request.

(It will certainly give you something to talk about in future and hopefully look back on and laugh about.)

If they won't do something quick and easy like that to help make you feel comfortable then you have your answer.

Remain polite but advise the individual that you don't feel comfortable. Make the decision to sever ties there and then.

Never put yourself in danger. ​

Sorry to ask m or f? If that is prying then please tell me but I would like to know if the message is from a guy or a girl, I have had some girls try that then start asking for gift cards etc. When I say girls they could be some wee scrote in a tin hut in deepest darkest wherever just trying to scam you.

For a quick check if someone sends you a photo generally too good to be true use yandex.com and search the photo found a lot of cons out using it

If you are meeting some one do it in a public place were there are lots of people about supermarkets are good they have cctv and sercurty, most have coffee shop and toilets to hide in as you make that call for help.

Thanks to everyone who can back on this, have decided to play it safe, cut off communication not going to meet, decided last night, low an behold this morning a get a similar message from a different profile, but using the same photos, definitely think it was the right move, will trust my gut next time

Good move. Situations like this don't require head or heart, go with your gut. It's awful that there are genuine people looking for love (or lust!) out there but there's so many scammers and wrong 'uns that people are just losing trust altogether. But you did the right thing

Like most are saying, trust your gut. Years ago I met people after talking via Kik for a while before meeting and even then exchanged numbers etc, so only met after plenty of contact. If I was you I wouldn’t be going

Well I'd of gone to the address, if it was a mugging then I'd of stood and fought them, if it was a shag then I'd of got my end away. Either way you'd of had a story to tell
