Physically, I'm unextraordinary. Tall, not athletic... non-smoker, no piercings, tattoos -etc. - modern glasses and a watch. I try to avoid logos and branding. I'm single, heterosexual, never married and have neither a partner nor children. I am drawn to intelligence and hope I can distinguish that from intellectual pretence. Philosophy, psychology and non-trivial puzzles are among my amateur interests. I can't muster any enthusiasm for sport... and my knowledge of (and skill with) music lets me down. Psychologists (including Jung) would class me as "introverted", "intuitive" and "thinking" - which aligns with my self-image and life experiences to date.

I am not really into the explicit photos that get posted here. Perhaps I'm an aniconist - I've never gone as far as full iconoclasm. I'm not a prude - but I think a self-description is more revealing (and more exciting) than any photo. I value my privacy - especially online - so don't post photos of myself. I'm aware that this is starkly at odds with today's swipe culture. I am interested in practical technology - but I also relish anachronisms. Appearances matter - but they matter most in person (rather than in videos and photos...) like in the olden days.

I previously tried dating websites - but they feel strangely misaligned with anything that feels real. I've realised that I've unfulfilled desires - many kinks. I've read about (some interpretations of) BDSM. I'm apprehensive about S&M - some of those heavy-duty ideas are vile - and do not appeal. Similarly, I'm not drawn to large age gaps. I found girls appealing from a very young age - but I've been a grown-up for quite some time - and I want similar in a partner. I am drawn to playful power-exchange... both physical and psychological. I think I'd be described as a 'switch'. To be more specific - I imagine experiencing both roles with a single partner. I like the idea that knowing both experiences should lead to more intimate empathy - and evolving boundaries. Having to think about both roles feels more deliberate - which appeals to me, a lot. The thinking bit matters.

While I'm not experienced, example fantasies of mine:
- Dominant active, detailed, control over exactly what my partner wears (ranging from the mundane to revealing and restrictive).
- Meeting my partner - having previously shared no photos or video - after our best efforts to describe ourselves and our desires, in writing, in detail, to each other (there's only ever one chance to meet someone for a first time).
- Unusual atmospheric locations... quiet deserted libraries; hill-tops; secluded lakes and streams; forests; outdoor open spaces during thunderstorms; castles and gothic architecture buildings - etc.
- Playing an otherwise nerdy game (perhaps Scrabble, Chess or Othello - or relying upon chance some other way) to decide who takes responsibility for dominance - and who for submission... for a negotiated duration... taking it extremely seriously.

I don't think introverted means I'm shy - though a shy woman would likely be very attractive to me. The verdict might be out on whether my intuition is well tuned. I am single - but I know neither where my escapade here will ultimately lead.. nor, even, what exactly I hope to be the outcome. The pragmatist in me presumes it will probably not go anywhere... but, if I didn't post this, I couldn't be sure.

I'm open to advice, questions, reprimand and suggestions. Of course, if you're a woman... who might be looking for the man behind this quirky caricature... I'd love to hear from you... and... perhaps... to correspond?

Evidently, you were not the target audience.
pity I'm too old for you although some words I would need the dictionary for and I don't consider myself illiterate but then you learn new things everyday lol. I like logic puzzles, rpg games where I have to think and outdoor thunderstorms magnificent lol Welcome to the site x

I can also admit to a (more easily satiated) kink for esoteric and archaic terms. I thought 'aniconist', in particular, might have been a step too far - though I think it works... at multiple levels of abstraction. I tried to include a convenience Wikipedia link to 'Aniconism'... unfortunately, it refused to post - something about it containing "inappropriate elements". Perhaps Wikipedia articles are just too racy for this forum?

I'm pleased to have found a fellow admirer of electrical storms. If there's any truth to the 'climate change' narrative, hopefully, there will be far more frequent opportunities to experience them properly.

I'm curious why you tell me, given your interest in logic, that you are too old for me. Whose rules mandate that being only around 8 years senior to Ethel Caterham necessarily made you too old for me? (Full disclosure... Supercentenarians don't feature among my kinks - but I hadn't previously admitted this.)
