Thought it might make for a good thread - I could of course be wrong!

I’ll start - I have broken a Guinness world record (I no longer hold it though)

What world record did you use to hold?

May be interesting you can judge
As a young officer cadet at Sandhurst we were positioned on top of a hill surrounded by Gurkhas playing the red team and attacking us. The training instructor picked me out and barked “what would you do now?”
I took out my packet of benson and hedges flipped the lid and said “ quick beam us aboard Scotty”
The platoon were in stitches not so the training instructor. He could have posted his response in the what made you say fuck thread but after the verbal beasting he still had to end it with Sir.

On the darts theme at uni I played against John Lowe who was doing an exhibition at the the students union and later played against Eric Bristow at Uttoxeter Golf Club. I’m terrible at darts is maybe the interesting point.

I'm 42 and I still can't drive, seems like I never will. People call me lazy for being 42 and not driving.I received over 30 hours of driving lessons in 2004 , on an automatic car, and I sucked so much the driving teachers had to rotate with each other for each session, as I "stressed them out" (they may have feared for their life too, now that I think about it) , so I stopped. The faces the instructors made were not only discouraging, but desperate. And I felt worse every day, because I never progressed in classes, I made the same mistakes.

I don't see the point in trying again. I feel like I would be a real danger on the road, so it's better for anyone if I just don't. My husband and my employees are driving me around or i am using an uber. I think it’s for the better I don’t wanna be a danger for others.
