How do you share a pic in private messages?

I've been chatting up by few guys on here but I have not figure out how to send them my pics in private message. When I click on the photo icon it just show a text bar. I've tried typing in the name of the image as it is saved on my phone. But it's not working. Can anyone help? Xx

You can't in private messaging. You can in a private chat though.
