Hey, I'm fairly new here myself. I've been around on sites like this since late 2002 (far too many to list or even remember) and how many people have I met from them? I can't recall exactly but it's less than 10. Two of them were incredible ladies I had long-term relationships with, a couple were trans friends I just met up with and hung out with, and the rest were the expected one-nighters of various quality. Yes I've had plenty offers and yes I'm picky AF but I'm not immune to mad urges and being wildly up for 'anything, anytime, with anyone'. It depends what you want and expect from a site and the people on it, but even the people who say they want quickie hookups most usually turn out to be boring, fake, or forget about you (despite all their elaborate overtures) as soon as they've had a wank and fallen asleep. So, filter according to expectations.
Spamming chatroom messages like "london meet" is a (microscopic) waste of bandwidth and passes by like white noise in a nightclub. I like the general tone of this site as the signal:noise ratio is better than many in terms of private message and chat despite people like me being of minority interest...so hang out, chat away and see what happens. Finding someone who can actually engage in a conversation (that isn't 100% about what THEY want) is, I've found, a great starting point
