Do meet ups really happen.

Hardly get a pm so a meet up with a lovely lady is very much a figment of my imagination. Make things reality pls.Uni students, nurses, office staff, housewife’s, flight attendants, cleaners, carers, welcome lol.

Seems like yes, but very few people, I've been on the site over 2-3 years and not had one meetup. There are others that have had better success than me, but they will probably tell you their method of how they managed to get people to meet them and what makes them attracted to them. Advice anyone?

I have to admit I've only joined this morning and I do get the sense of desperation in some of the comments I receive, even if I am flattered.. To me it's not an attractive quality, confidence would be much more attractive than desperation boys xx (is honesty okay??)

What is interesting, I see a lot of this on the site in general and I hate to say it, it seems to be mostly the men being dishonest. Occasionally some ladies too (very rarely, but still, its not like old days, they've sorted that one out which is good).

I try to be honest as possible and open on this site as I don't believe in hiding anything as you will get found out eventually - at least I'm single.

EDIT: Another thing I noticed is that a lot of men become too intense for a lot of the ladies here, especially with nude photos. I just lurk in the background, but I doesn't suprise me when they remove their photos because of the attention they get.

I'm not here to meet people been here for years and never met anyone, just here for the fun that's to be had on the site. That said it would be nice if the women here actually liked my pics but hey ho..lol. that said there used to be an organised meeting of friends (so no expectations just friends having a drink) that doesn't seem to have happened for a long time now.

I'm in Sussex too, but I travel, I got a car, I got discounted rail travel (or even free to certain places), I can go to a hotel room, but I find people are miles away still. I'm not complaining though as I see it as a challenge. I can easily come to them, just take the train from London (where I work) onto other areas. My small problem is time or lack thereof at times.

To be honest, everyone does say "You will find someone". They've said it for years, for me, dating is a very difficult subject and funny enough, I have been writing up about my mental health condition and social issues, covering things such as dating and relationships, as well as socialising which trust me, isn't easy.

I wish someone would approach me for once as it would make my job easier, but that means breaking down barriers of society and getting out of this "I'm interested but I wish he would approach me" and go "well, ok, I like this guy, I'll ask him out instead". It'll take out the guesswork and ease my axiety.

Would echo that...honesty would always be the best thing....
I am married,so any meet up would have to be few and far between and meticulously planned lol...but it is always best to not give anyone false impressions

Yes meet ups do happen now and again , I have been lucky enough to have had one. Although I would say certainly in my case it is the exception rather than the norm. I think people need to have realistic expectations , firstly this is advertised as a chat site rather than a dating one , then there are all the usual things such as the ratio of ladies to guys , location and availability of accommodation to be taken into account.
