Again no skin but a quality read for you Fantasy nerds like me out there. I’ve just reordered this for my kindle as I’m such a geek lol

bit of Sword and sorcery for you all and a rousing romp where lots of people die so the cast evolves around the main characters.

Ok I finally got around d to finishing this (it’s 3 books) Got to say I still love it. The tension between Croaker and the Lady Just adds to this for me- your never quite sure even at the end if they will kill each other or run off together

I haven't, but I have just bought it on audible (yes, this is how I consume 90% of my books these days) so it's now officially on my list!

For my commute I listen to non-fiction in the morning and fiction in the afternoon. Gives me about an hour and ten minutes for reading in what would otherwise be dead time.

So my current books are:

A Brief History of Time - Stephen Hawking
Piranesi - Susannah Clarke
I’m glad you’ve decided to dip your toe into the world of Midkemia.

I hope you like it as much as us avid admirers of Mr Feist do.

I bought this book because that's what you do when you find a book that has your portrait on the cover. And then I started reading it because it had been sitting on the shelf for a year staring at me and then I spent the next 8 hours of my life reading it until it was finished because I wanted to know how my biography ended.

I mean look at it! it's literally called the girl who drank the Moon and the cover is covered in origami birds. And she has a very small pet dragon. 20220923_050931.jpg
I don't regret giving up a night's sleep for this

Gives a very accessible intro to the elements of meditation, breath control and the locks or energy centers in your body. While it doesn't have a lot of detail and some of the explanation is a bit simplified it's a good place to start I read it not as a practice guide but just as like a novel to enjoy the story and the telling of yoga and meditation.

Like it says on the cover, this is a kind of Bible. Gives detailed explanations of yoga and the Eightfold Path and all of the sort of philosophical and practical sides of it. It also gives amazing detailed explanations of hundreds (?) of positions as well as the various health benefits that go along and the various contraindications that you should be careful about when trying different poses. You can also look up different illnesses in the index and it will recommend what kind of poses to practice to help improve those places of ill health. and in yoga ill health isn't only physical manifestations of illness but also energetic or emotional or spiritual manifestations of ill health. 20240718_195229.jpg
It's hundreds of pages long.
