Ability to block people from interacting with my threads?

Hello

Unfortunately, I've been subject to a campaign of pettiness from a user on the site.

I've worked with one of the Mods, who has reported some stuff to admins and some posts have been deleted. I believe the individual is banned from the Chat function, and I've made it so if they are messaging me, they're going into a dustbin somewhere. I believe admins have also removed some of his previous posts from today already.

My issue is, they're still interacting with me and targeting me through my forum posts (e.g. LS18 or Chevin... Bored - Free Chat Rooms) - to the point, they're telling people to avoid me, and calling me out for reporting them to a mod as a "grass" for reporting their harassment (definition victim blaming), as well as calling me a slut, gremlin, shady, mentally weak (for reporting them)...

I've been on here a few months and met some lovely genuine people, but the last few hours have been miserable, to the point I've removed items from my profile and asked a friend to take down a photo as I have a genuine fear of being doxxed by this person.

Is there a way I can block them from interacting with my threads/forum posts altogether?

Would appear that you can only ignore them - you can't see their posts (unless someone you don't ignore quotes them) but those posts are still there

Yeah, they are on ignore = they just keep barraging.

I know that it can’t be easy but I’d say don’t give them the satisfaction. Stick to being you and keep posting what you want to post.
If they try to interact with you keep ignoring them and they’ll go away eventually.
I’ve never chatted to you previously but as you say there are some lovely genuine people on this site. Don’t let one or two trolls ruin that for you

Definitely should be. I also like how I'm now apparently a "shady character" because I want to deny someone the ability to communicate with me...

Second, report and ignore. It is so powerful.

Other posters rarely read other posts in a thread. No one notices your friend unless you draw attention to them. Don't reply to them. Don't try to defend yourself. Just report and ignore. Your truth will shine through in your other interactions on the site. Anyone who is watching or wondering if what the other member is saying is true will be able to judge for themselves the content of your character.

Note, the more you interact, the more they will tap back which means more work for admin and mods to find and delete their abusive content.
Help the admin help you (and help all of us) remove abusive nonsense off the forum.

One of the things I’ve seen over a long period on here that if trolls are starved of oxygen then the fire tends to blow itself out

I have now banned that chatter permanently and his account will be removed too. As will all of his Forum posts once I have saved them as evidence. We do not tolerate vile and nasty abuse of either our chatters or moderators. He needs to read the Misuse of Communications Act as he's broken almost every part of it. If you receive any further communication from this person, please either message me directly or any moderator logged in at the time. Hopefully, that wont be needed.
