I'm currently reading my first 'Alternative History' novel for years - 'Soviet Endgame' by Alex Aaronson & James Rosone.
It's a genre I love, but thought I'd exhausted. Do we have any other fans of the genre? And if so, any...
My own experience from more years of morning woods than I care to acknowledge is that while they are usually very proud and very persistent, the sensation/climax when they are put to use is somewhat dull/diminished. This isn't new and was always the case (for me.)
So to answer the question...
Lytham Festival yesterday.
Inspiral Carpets stuck to the anthems and were really good.
Jonny Marr - still a wanker.
James (Orchestral) - Interesting, different, quite enjoyable but lacking energy compared to their usual live performances.
