There are definitely threads that need to be locked. Perhaps that is the way forward, having said that there's a fair few threads that could do with being removed. A lot of pre Covid posts are long dead nowAll old threads should be automatically removed after 1 month of inactivity.
It may be a plan if the original poster is still active to try to revive. If on the other hand the original poster is no longer a member and the thread is inactive for a set period it could be deleted@Adie Are they threads that need removing, or need reviving? If you put rules in place to automatically delete stuff, some things that are worth keeping would be lost.
The only reason I suggested if that way was down to the fact there are a few people that come on for five minutes, post once or twice then disappearMaybe, but in my experience a lot of the time the thread creator isn't the primary participant. Is there a reason we need to clean down, are we struggling for space, perhaps an archive concept that if it is inactive it goes in to an archive folder, if someone re-activates it comes back live?
Thanks for respondingWe're not removing any threads unless they break the rules or TOU
