Once many many years ago I met a man off the internet. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon. Pizza, hanging out in the park, feeding the pigeons… but there wasn't really the chemistry that we had online, so we said goodbye and went our separate ways.

Done this to and there seems to be a reservedness that sneaks into people's nature when face to face. I know that most people suffer from sexual keyboard bravery but it's always nice when you find one that says hi, kisses you and slides their hand straight down inside your satin boxers as you lean against the car, lolol!

It wasn't a meet for sex. Even before going I had no intention of sleeping with the other person. It was just a date. We hadn't been sexy chat partners...just chat friends who happened to live in the same area.

As much as I would probably enjoy the nudity of it, the thought of riding my bike without any sort of protection is not all that appealing.
I recently made the mistake of cycling without bike shorts. My bum was not a happy camper.

Perhaps if I had an upright bike with a very squishy seat.

I think naked hiking or trail running would be fun though and of course there's nothing like a swim in the nude.

I agree, while I like the thought of it, the reality of cycling without any protection for you 'bits' is quite daunting. Love swimming naked.

Being 20 and completely new to the big internet, I accidentally sent an email to the wrong recipient. I got a kind reply back, to which I then responded. Long story short, we met and it was awsome. It turned out the wrong recipient was a handsome young guy. He happened to be as genuine and witty as the impression I got of him through our correspondence. We met, became friends and it developed from that on. The 4 hours distance was never an issue. We split cause I learned I eventually wanted to have kids, he didn't. We had 5 lovely years together.

I forgot to mention that I have a girlfriend met in a group on FB. Feels like we've known each other forever. We immediately hit it off when we first met. I needed help with something and she offered to assist since she lived nearby.

Possibly not the right person to answer this but I would just like to say that I have met many nutcases on the internet... and in real life. I have met normal people (for a given value of the word normal) on the internet... and in RL.

I also met my wife on the internet (FB)... we are happily married, 8yrs, and have 2 daughters.

So long as you take precautions, do your research, don't rush and have a "get out" plan I personally see it as no more risky than dating someone you met in a bar while wearing beer goggles and being completely obivious to the axe he or she is carrying around.

As for fellas who look after themselves... maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important to me. Good hygiene, being aware of his own body and its needs, making choices that will keep him healthy and so on, are certainly very attractive features. Showing that he loves his own body, in whatever form that manifests, is very attractive.

Face masks aren't really something I have any interest in though, so that would have to be a "you time" thing...

I've been thinking long and hard about this question.

I guess I need to define terms a bit before I can offer any sort of reply.

For me, "porn" means pornographic films. Verses "erotica" which I take to mean photographs and drawings, and "erotic literature" written works, poems intended to be sexually stimulating. Finally, the very very grey area of "porn gifs" which seem to lie somewhere between the two.

Porn in general I don't find very satisfying stimulation, as I find the actresses unrelatable and the dynamic between the actors unbelievable. Also, their squeaky voices are annoying and distracting (although the mute button is useful in that regard). But there are a few pornographers and styles of film that are very exciting to watch. For me, mostly films that have a good soundtrack and little to no human voice. Films of erotic massage, light bondage or tantric sex come to mind.

Erotica I enjoy looking at as it lets my imagination move freely. I find it often very inspiring.

Erotic lit I am very very picky. I have yet to read much that has really been stimulating or satisfying. But that said it is very useful and interesting for exploring other people's kinks.

Porn gifs...these are very useful tools for teasing other people. Which I find indirectly satisfying.

I like yourself consider porn to be video and classify pictures as erotica, writings as Erotic literature.

I also agree about the squeaky voices and participants largely unbelievable, certainly in mainstream porn. Which is why I personally prefer amateur porn or small studio porn to the mainstream. Admittedly the downside is the lack of production values, often poor lighting but at least if feels more real somehow.
