Unable to post pics on PM

Hi there does not seem to be a way to attach pics when sending a PM. There is a paperclip icon but when you click on it you dont get any options to attach a file or pic.

You have to copy and paste the link/URL or use Flickr or use the app Giphy and again copy and paste the link.

It does seem odd that you can post directly from your device in general forum but can’t in pm
