I worked with this fiirst time. I wonder what would have been like now with internet and social media. Uber mass hysteria and it was BAD then. People were sooooo dehumanised. It is manageble now with drugs. Back then it was an automatic death sentence and not some 'punishment' from an all loving deity or the scapegoated LGBT folk.
But millions worldwide still die. If you are HIV+ and declare it - people will still not want to get close to you - even though it's perfectly safe with precautions. As safe as kissing someone and getting, if you don't already have it, which you likely do - dormant - HPV. Human Papilloma Virus. Lip sore and sores in other places. Can lead to cancer. Just think about it before you go licking and sucking and whatever else and then on to someone else - a spouse or even children.
Acyclovir - Zovirax (Brand Name) - generic, as good and cheaper is good for lip/cold sores. Symptoms not a cure.
