OK I know it' a sex chat room... Well I'm 46 and have spent the past 20+ years in a happy monogamous relationship until she didn't wake up one morning about a year ago. I have never used a chat room nor online dating until Saturday. It's been a nightmare for many reasons. It' am hard to believe with all the amazing technological advancements we have made in the field of communication and in a world of nearly 8 billion people it is so hard to find someone to talk to. Caution is necessary, I understand that, but the fakery and profiteering which take place just stops people potentially making positive connections with others. Which in turn makes people more cynical and reluctant to find people I the virtual environments they create....wow, sorry.

So I just want to have a reasonable conversation with an intelligent woman with a good sense of humour to get me off and running, or at least I hope.

I don't want pity, just some banter and a laugh if there are any takers,message me. Thank you.

You seem half sensible, you from the UK? Thing is, I'm not looking for a hook up nor a relationship it's complicated. My partner died suddenly this time last year. I'm just lonely. Never done any of this online malarkey and it is a minefield. I've lost money, time and patience. What the fuck is the world coming to scammers a plenty? Kik (which I have been a member of for 48HRS) is perilous. 80 odd bogus fishing messages already. Women blatantly selling sex, surely that's illegal.

Despite hearing many stories. ...there is ALOT of fantasy played out on here..
Lots of Maybes...Could do s
But Never any REAL Action..

In my limited experience, I concur, but it's not just here, it's a virus plaguing the all these apps and sites. Unregulated, difficult to navigate. So far Kik seems the worst. I've been a member 48hrs and had 80 scammers, or so it would seem and one threat .

Hi there, not sympathy but very sorry to hear that about your relationship. I’m guessing from the way you write you loved her very much. Be patient, be yourself and there’s always a chance of finding someone. I think it’s more when we pretend to be someone or something were not nothing happens. All the best though.
