So my lady and I are currently talking about these. Firstly, anal. She had one try years,ago with an ex, I never have. We'd both like to try now. I'm worried about hurting her. Any tips/experiences?

Take it slow, plenty of lube and don't force it. It may take a couple of attempts for her to feel comfortable. Start with small toys, plugs etc so she can get a good feel for it. then move forward from there.
And the same going the other way, starting off with plugs and small and thin is the way to go and work your way up as you get more comfortable.
