I think it's because I've known such riches, that I'm satisfied to live with this sort of intimacy poverty.
But I have again many platonic, imaginary, remote friends who I share with. It's not so lonely.
The transition isn't easy. Like quitting any addictive substance. But perhaps consider for yourself why the lack of sex is so distressing. Maybe there is a gentle way to find balance or perhaps something altogether new and satisfying.
