Probably a thread that will appeal more to chatters/music heads of a certain vintage this one.

In the days before YouTube, Spotify and all those other platforms we now use to download our music, we were limited to purchases of 7" Singles and LP's. (We did have TV in those days kids, but only 3 channels).

So - what's your favourite Album?

An album that changed your life?

An album that initially got you into music?

An Album that made your jaw drop?

An album that resonated then? and now?

If I was asked this question tomorrow, I'd probably give a different answer, but today, I'm going to go for the first album I ever owned, aged 11, an album that blew my mind and made me a lifelong music head:

The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars (by David Bowie)

Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon for the soundscape it creates that you can immerse yourself in.
Verve's A Northern Soul particularly resonated with me when I first experienced it. As with many bands, their early efforts are the most haunting.
Ladytron's Witching Hour is something I regularly put on if I just want some energy.
Oasis's Definetly Maybe for the sheer swagger of believing that you are something better than you are.

Many many more, but gives you an idea of how I consume music
