A few weeks ago, I went through the rigmarole of deleting my account - I clicked on the 'Delete Account' link, I received the email to confirm, clicked on that link, and was told my account would be deleted within 24 hours.
I was somewhat surprised to receive a notification that someone had sent me a private message a few days ago, as I had expected my account to have been deleted.
Is this a bug, an oversight, or just shoddy workmanship?
